Honda and Givi VFR 800 VTEC Luggage
To mount a top box to the VFR VTEC (2002 to current) the Honda rear carrier bracket model number 08L42 MCW 800 must be used. This then has a plate to mount the top box on. It appears that the box has a 42 liter capacity as supplied by Honda. It should be possible to mount a Givi box but the mounting plate needs to be replaced. The Givi alternative appears to be significantly cheaper but as solid. The bracket can be found here. There are several other options as part of the system which can be found here.
Fitting the Givi system is relatively strait forward and requires no modifications to the the frame etc. It fits by attaching to the grab rail points, the seat fitting point and the foot peg frame. The mail top plate area is made from plastic and looks and feels solid but this remains to be be seen.
